WNC Ag Center
1301 Fanning Bridge Rd.
Fletcher, NC 28732 (right outside Asheville)

Learn how to use gel mediums with your pastels!  They look enticing when we go into an art store, but how do you know which ones to use?  How to go about using them?  How will they make a difference in your work?  Learn which ones you can use with pastels to create three dimensional textures and how to go about using them.  It is fun to do no matter your subject or style and adds an exciting new element to your work.

Lorelle Bacon is a self-taught artist who began as a child with drawing. Marriage, family and work had Lorelle putting her art aside until the age of 50 when she resumed her artistic pursuits. She started teaching art to children and adults, which led her to being a full time artist and instructor. Her students have ranged from as young as 7 years to as old as 92!

Lorelle’s work is spread around the world. Her paintings hang in private and in business collections throughout the United States, as well as in Canada, Germany, England and Holland.

While her talent covers a large range of subjects, she has always been fascinated by people. And so her primary interests have always focused on being a portrait artist, as well as a love for animal studies.
