NOTE THAT PICKUP HAS CHANGED: June 16th 10am to noon

Participating artists need to send an image of their paintings for the show ASAP for advertising purposes to djones@burkearts.org.  Also participating artists need to send Nancy Clausen their names and the names of their paintings by April 1st, 2015. My email address is nancy@clauseninstrument.com.  Each artist is allowed one to two paintings.

On the back of your paintings you should have the following information:  Your name, title of the painting, price and your contact information.

All paintings should be wired on the back for hanging.  No saw tooth hangers will be accepted.  Please note if your painting is not wired correctly, it will not be accepted to the show.

There is a $10.00 fee for each person for entering the show.  The check is to be made out to the Appalachian Pastel Society.  You may send it to Nancy Clausen, 40 Viera Drive, Swannanoa, NC 28778.  You may also bring it when you deliver your painting.

If you need someone to take your painting to Morganton, there are three of us that will be available to take them, myself, Nancy Clausen (828-686-5003), Deborah Squier (828-216-8806) and Elise Okrend ( 919-621-1579).  Please note you will need to make arrangements with them as to when you can deliver them.  Some of you may decide to team up to deliver or pickup each others’ paintings.  If you are having someone take your painting and pick up, we suggest $10.00 for gas money.  Also, please Google for directions.  I know how to get there, but I go there during the year.  All I can tell you is to take exit 103 and turn left.  I do not know the names of the streets from there on.

And lastly, finger food would be appreciated for the reception on Thursday evening May 21st from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Please note paintings should not be any that were shown at the gallery previously.  All paintings need to be for sale, and a commission of 30% will go to the Jail House Gallery.

We are responsible for bringing finger foods.  The gallery is providing the beverages.
