About Pam…

Pamela-WinklerI enjoy revealing the beauty in everyday objects. I explore the form and texture of both shiny new and aging objects, often coming in for a close up view.  Dramatic lighting brings depth to the objects and a theatrical sense often at odds with the common nature of the subject.

Pamela Winkler graduated from Miami University (of Ohio) with a BA in Art History and a Masters of Architecture.  She worked as a licensed architect in both Ohio and North Carolina.  In 2009 a course in pastels led to a new passion, and to her painting full time in her studio in Asheville, NC.
