Workshop:  “Mix it up and Shake it Loose”

I once heard this: “There are no color police!”
Well, no there aren’t. However, understanding color and light and structure is important.
But when you have the fundamentals, then what?

You play!
Come play with me!
We will explore how to mix color and methods to loosen up your style and thinking about process.

Extend your boundaries and freshen up your thinking about abstraction from reality through directed exercises in the studio.

About Cathyann:Cathyann Burgess headshot for promo

“I have been drawing or painting as long as I can remember and consciously thought of myself as artist, at age 13. Born in Manhattan and raised in Brooklyn, NY, my first art ‘aesthetic’ experience was at the Cloisters, part of the Metropolitan Museum of Art. The next time artwork made an indelible mark was when I was sixteen and stood before Picassos Guernica.

I hold a MSEd in Art from SUNY College at Buffalo, NY.

My teaching experience in art for over 25 years in 4 states, includes formal schools both public and private, museums and workshops.”
